Carbon 60 and Himalayan Shilajit: A Synopsis.

Keywords:  Himalayan Shilajit, Carbon 60, damaged cells and molecules, free radicals, super-antioxidants, C 60 Olive oil, antioxidants

Diamonds, Crystals, and a few other natural graphite-like products including Himalayan Shilajit contain some amount of natural Carbon 60 (C 60). What is Carbon 60 (C60)?

C 60 is a collection of 60 carbon atoms. The term was first found in an article in 1965, written by a scientist, Harry. P. Schultz (1): “Topological Organic Chemistry Polyhydroxanes and Prismanes”. After five years in 1970, came along an interpretation of C 60 as “a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon molecule, a hexagon structure surrounded by 5 hexagons into a pentagon (Osawa, (2) a Japanese scientist). There were a number of rejections and contradictions of different theories and models until Richard Buckminster Fuller (et al.) (3) came along in 1985 and proved his new arrangement of carbon atoms. Fuller was an architect famous for his geodesic domes resembling C 60. The atomic structure was named as Fullerene (Diagram 1). In 1996, the C 60 discoverers were awarded the noble prize. The purpose of this short compilation is simply to give the customer or a non-chemist a geodesic dome resembling an idea about Carbon60 and how this product can benefit us. It is by no means an excerpt to give an in-depth chemical analysis.

Olive Oil

Later there was a study of C 60 in Olive oil, which made rats live longer. Today C 60 is considered safe to be safe in olive oil as long as there is a high degree of purity of 99.5% in olive oil. Taking C 60 for a few months yields some positive results in improving memory as well. SES Research Centre (4) further claimed benefits of C 60 on brain cells and added that “consumption of C 60 extra virgin oil taken pre-workout routine leaves people less tired and ‘less winded’ in the end’.  Having said that, most scientists claim that C 60 has to be taken regularly to get optimal benefits or results. SES specializes in creating “fine grade C 60 olive oil products”.
C 60 can be synthetically made in a lab as well and it would be hard for you to distinguish the natural from the artificially created, and the processes followed by the company selling C60.

The 1990s studies have shown that C 60 contains antioxidant properties that prevent sunburn, osteoarthritis, and help hair growth besides earlier claims of enhanced memory and a longer life span. Life-span of rats proved to be longer after taking C 60 for a prolonged period. The 1990s scientists described the most important content of antioxidants as: “an antioxidant is a substance that inhibits oxidation, especially one used to counteract the deterioration of stored food products or a substance that removes potentially damaging oxidizing agents in a living organism”.

If a molecule in our bodies is unstable, it turns into free radicals and free radicals are electrically charged (Diagram 2). Our bodies are made up of a bunch of molecules, forming our DNA, proteins, fats, etc. Free radicals can damage your DNA or cell membrane (Diagram 3).

In 2012 antioxidant properties of C 60 were studied by Baati and Moussa et al (5). Some studies claim that olive oil with C 60 can increase the life-span of rats by 18%. Based on studies on rats.

C 60 is supposed to be the most efficient material for life span. C 60 is 172 times more powerful than Vitamin C. This super antioxidant detoxifies the body continuously. Antiviral booster C 60 enhances the body for fighting tumor growths, control asthma, arthritis, heart disease, and multiple sclerosis.

C 60 can be combined with any compound to improve its effects on a variety of diseases. In fact, it can also be topically applied to burns and bruises. Example: C60 olive oil can be combined with MCT oils from coconut oil and Avocado oil.

Himalayan Shilajit

Some research has been conducted on Himalayan shilajit and it has been found that atoms in shilajit are bound to Carbon 60. The fulvic acid in shilajit is exceptionally suitable to be combined with C 60. The DibEnzo-alpha-pyrones (DBPs) and Dib Enzo-alpha-pyrone chromoprotein (DCPs) are antioxidants in  Himalayan shilajit and they support C 60 energy-boosting effects. Depending on the processing of Himalayan Shilajit (free from toxic metals) and naturally sun-dried quality, the DBPs and DCPs form nearly ±10-30% of shilajit. C 60 in Himalayan shilajit or any other product must be soluble If C 60 is not properly diffused it can turn into new molecules: Nano-C 60 that are toxic. If Carbon 60 is anionic it is a super- antioxidant, whereas if it is cationic (positively charged), it can be toxic and act as a free radical (Diagrams 3 & 4).

There are a few other foods which are loaded with Super-antioxidants:

  1. Carbon 60 in Olive oil
  2. Goji berries
  3. Artichokes
  4. Strawberries
  5. Blueberries
  6. Dark Chocolate
  7. Pecans
  8. C 60

Any food with Hydroxytyrosol is a super- antioxidant and powerful to treat and destroy viruses, bacteria, and damaged cells through oxidation. A high amount of intake of antioxidants can have an adverse or damaging side effect. Due to high oxidation cells, damaged cells can lead to diseases like cancer, Alzheimer’s or heart disease. Like they say, “too much of anything is bad for you”.The top 5 antioxidants that you should consume are:

  1. Vitamin E
  2. Vitamin A
  3. Resveratrol
  4. Lycopene
  5. C 60

Antioxidant C 60

In Shilajit – C 60 is a formation in the core structure of shilajit as a molecular bond. The bond is a super anti-oxidant known as DBPs. Putting it in layman terms C 60 is an anti-oxidant on steroids. The C 60 oil or compound takes about three months to start working if you take it regularly with a balanced healthy diet.

C60 benefits can be reaped through MCT Coconut oil as well. MCT oils are derived from Organic Coconuts or highly refined coconut oils. Having said that, the content of ESSO60 will be much less effective in MCT coconut oil. Example:

-Fact: MCT holds considerably less ESS60 than olive oil; about ~.35 mg/ml instead of ~.8 mg/ml

-If you want to consume the same amount of ESS60 (C60) then you need to take 60% more of our MCT product than of our Olive Oil product (4).

If you consume C 60 alone in a liquid form, your dose should be about 5 ml per day. An increase or decrease may be executed depending on your body weight.

Finally, the likely benefits of C 60 in short are:

  • better skin health
  • longer life span
  • better memory
  • super-antioxidants
  • protect your body from free radicals
  • gives you UV protection
  • ease your arthritis
  • prevent osteoarthritis
  • improve immunity to infections
  • brain health
  • stronger joints and improvement in cramps
  • reduces obesity and metabolism issues by managing weight and bloating through the removal of radicals and toxins from your body
  • kills bacteria and viruses
