Crysenthemum Flowers' Tea 🍵 is an infusion tea made from flowers of the chrysanthemum plant. Chrysanthemums are a perennial plant related to the sunflower family, pretty much like the chamomile flower 🌼 . The tea has a light floral aroma and a gentle sweetness. This tea is popular summertime drink in Southern China.

Chrysanthemum tea has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for hundreds of years. In addition, chrysanthemum  are often combined with other herbs to treat some serious conditions. The placebo effect is not conclusive.

Brewing/Preparation of Chrysanthemum Tea 🍵 

1. Place dried, whole chrysanthemum flowers in a cup or teapot.

2. Pour boiling water (about 240ml) over them.

3. Let the flowers steep for 2-3 minutes until the tea turns a golden yellow color.

4. Add honey, if desired. 

To make 2 cups(240ml) of chrysanthemum flowers' you need approximately 1.5 gm of dried flowers.
