Why an Indian Black tea is called Earl Grey?

What a wonderful name ‘Earl Grey’ the British gave to their favourite Black tea! Of course after Earl Grey. The British Prime Minister, who allegedly once received this tea as a gift. Darjeeling Earl Grey Tea is relaxing yet energetic. Earl Grey tea is infused with Lavender Seeds and Bergamot Orange. The Aroma is Malty Bergamot Orange type of citrus fruit from which essential oil can be extracted. There is also a variant of Earl Grey tea called Lady Grey.

Ingredients (3): Premium Black Tea flavored with Lavender Seeds, and Bergamot Orange

Brewing /Preparation 

You will need:

1. A clean cup or Glass
2. A teaspoon
3. Loose-leaf Premium Earl Grey Tea
4. Water at 100°C

Preparation:

1. Add a teaspoon of Earl Grey tea to a cup 
2. Pour 150ml hot water on the tea leaves
3. Cover and steep for 2-3 minutes (4 minutes if you like it strong)
4. Strain and add honey if you wish.
5. You reuse the strained tea leaves 2-3 times like our other teas                         (next time steep a little longer).

How to store Darjeeling Black tea

The more oxidized the tea during production phase, the longer its shelf time or   storage time. Darjeeling Early Grey tea can be stored up to 24 months 

Store your Darjeeling Earl Grey tea in a cold and dark place away from items like spices and coffee that could leach their flavors on to your tea. It is also a good idea to store your tea in an opaque and airtight jar.
